Writer/Filmmaker
A meticulous and creative video producer, versed in executing film projects from script to post-production and into the distribution stage. Celeste Thoms is a dedicated entertainment professional for over ten years with a versatile background in short films, corporate videos, and transmedia. Being a filmmaker has always been her career choice, and living a creative life is her core mission.
At 16-years-old she obtained her first job as a wedding videographer. That job led to a position as a videographer for Woman's Ministries for The Atlantic Union Conference as well as Disabilities Ministries, now known as Special Needs Ministries, for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. Her work has been used for leadership training in North America, South America, The United Kingdom, and Europe as well as being shown on The Hope Channel. In 2012, she was honored with an Excellence in Ministry Award for her work in Disabilities Ministries.
She earned an Associate Degree in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business and a Master of Fine Art in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. There she also received the Course Director’s Award in Storytelling and Storyboarding for Animation, and the Course Director Award for Script Analysis and Criticism.
Currently, she works as Production Assistant in the NY/NJ/PA areas. She is also working on a second draft of a feature film. Her other interest includes music, painting, building miniature sets, building props, and foam fabrication.
